Welcome

MWH CB (2) CROPDear Reader,

A warm welcome to our website from the students and staff of Chobham Academy. We hope the site provides you with all you are looking for but if you need to find out more then please do contact us at the school.

I have been at Chobham since September 2017 and have found it a truly remarkable place to work. Our students are ambitious, enthusiastic and talented. We recognise that each of them has their own gifts and ambitions for life. At Chobham every young person is known as an individual. We also understand that all of our students have differing academic talents, some will find their studies straightforward, others more challenging. However, whatever their position on joining us, we are committed to ensuring that every Chobham student fulfils their potential and achieves the very best that they are capable of. At Chobham we never give up on anyone.

We are very proud of the fantastic work that our teachers and student services staff do every single day. At Chobham, lessons are well taught and productive. Relationships are a real priority for us because they provide the foundation of great learning. Our teachers and students trust, respect and like one another. The school is well organised and administered. The environment is maintained to an exceptionally high standard and we are always seeking to offer better learning spaces and improved resources.

Learning is at the centre of all we do. This takes a variety of forms. One of course is the academic progress our students make towards their GCSE and Post 16 exams. However, we also emphasise the importance of loving learning for its own sake and seek to develop in our students a range of attitudes and learning skills which will enable them to be successful lifelong learners. A final aspect of learning worth emphasising is our work to support students in developing their social and communication skills. We want Chobham students to be highly successful in the world beyond school and this means them being adept socially as well as academically.

This is an exciting time for Chobham Academy. We are still a new school and as our community grows it becomes stronger, more aspirational and ever more successful. Hopefully, you will find a flavour of our school here on the website.

With best wishes.
