Harris Federation

With education at Chobham Academy run by the Harris Federation, we will be part of a group that has an average of five applications for every place available. Improvement in Harris GCSE results is consistently three or four times higher than the national average. And, of the eleven Harris Academies so far to have been inspected by Ofsted, eight have been rated as 'Outstanding' - a record that is unmatched.

Chobham Academy is located at the north-eastern end of the Olympic Village. After the 2012 Olympic Games, this new neighborhood will be known as East Village.

Lend Lease

Lend Lease, one of the world’s leading property and infrastructure providers, is the main sponsor of Chobham Academy and has appointed the Harris Federation, as experts in education, to run the Academy.

Lend Lease has been responsible for the design, development and construction of East Village, on behalf of the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), and Chobham Academy is located on the edge of this new and exciting neighbourhood. In addition to the Academy, East Village will also provide 2,818 new homes as well as community health facilities and over 10 hectares of public realm space.

Nigel Hugill

Chobham Academy has also received sponsorship from Nigel Hugill. Nigel has worked in property and regeneration for over 30 years and is responsible for initiating and championing the Stratford City regeneration project. A former Chair of Lend Lease Europe, Nigel strongly encouraged the development of Chobham Academy for local children. In addition to his ongoing business interests, Nigel is Chairman Designate of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Chair of urban think tank, Centre for Cities, Council member of the London School of Economics and Chair of the Committee for the Redevelopment of Tate Britain.
