Strengths of Harris Federation highlighted in new Times/PwC research
New research conducted by PwC for The Times newspaper shows that children and teenagers in Harris academies are outperforming their peers in other academy groups.
The research found that:
- At primary level, the Harris Federation is the only one of the 26 largest academy groups to achieve results above the national average. 84% of our pupils achieved expected levels of reading writing and maths last year compared to 80% nationally. In a week where many of our children have worked hard towards their SATs, we hope that you will find this analysis as encouraging as we do.
- The Federation is also one of just two secondary trusts to achieve a GCSE point score above the national average across eight key subjects.
- The Federation is one of only three major trusts to achieve a positive ‘value added’ score for the progress children make between joining secondary school and sitting their GCSE exams. The research highlights the success of Harris academies in achieving outstanding outcomes for students, which we can all be very proud of.
Congratulations to all students, staff and parents across the Harris Federation.
