Harris Academies
All Academies in our Federation aim to transform the lives of the students they serve by bringing about rapid improvement in examination results, personal development and aspiration.

Welcome

Life in the Sixth Form is a very special time for students for many reasons. Students are provided with the opportunity to study the subjects they are passionate about, which they value and enjoy, and, at the same time, develop wider skills through our diverse enrichment programme. But perhaps most importantly, they are taking advantage of the fantastic teaching and support they receive from their tutors, teachers and heads of year as they prepare for the next step in their career, whatever that might be.

Chobham Sixth Form divides into two very different, but equally ambitious, pathways:

• Sixth Form Academia, which features excellent academic tuition and university coaching (including Oxbridge mentoring through our links with the Harris Experience Advanced programme and two Oxford colleges).

• Sixth Form Virtuoso, which prepares students for careers in the performing arts.

The courses we offer within these two pathways, which you can read about later in this prospectus, are highly regarded both by Russell Group universities and by specialist Arts, Drama and Stage Schools.

Whether you become a Virtuoso Sixth Former or an Academia Sixth Former, as a Chobham Academy student you can expect excellent tuition, small class sizes and our full support as you work towards building a successful and fulfilling future.

As you pursue your courses over your two years at Chobham Academy, we make sure you have the opportunity to work with, and hear from, leading practitioners in the field you are interested in.

There is also guided study support before and after school and small tutorials with specialist staff to make sure that you achieve excellently and are fully prepared for your future education and career choices.

But in addition to your work towards the courses you take, we want you to have a fun and fully rounded experience of Sixth Form education. We call this the ‘joy factor’.

There are all manner of clubs, societies, events and trips. As Sixth Formers, you are also role-models to our younger students at the Academy, helping to mentor and motivate them.

We hope that you are excited and enthused by what you learn about Chobham Academy in this prospectus. Our Sixth Form couples an astonishing campus with the guarantee of excellent education that is the hallmark of every Harris Academy.

Please do come along to one of our Admissions Events if you would like to find out more. We very much look forward to meeting you.
