There has been a return to pre-pandemic grading this summer in England. The DfE advise it is most meaningful to compare results to 2019, the last summer exam series before the pandemic.

GCSE Results

Chobham’s GCSE results have been consistently above the national average and place Chobham in the top 20% of schools in the country. The table below show Chobham’s results for the last three academic years. We have not included 2020 or 2021 estimates in this table as the grades were teacher assessed.

56% of students achieved a strong pass (grade 5) or above in both English and maths, far higher than the 2019 national rate of 43%.  42% of students achieved at least a grade 4 in their Ebacc subjects which is well above the national average of 25%.

Post 16 Results

Harris Academy Chobham Sixth Form had an ALPs score of 3 for the 2022 examination results which puts us in the top 25% of post 16 providers for progress. 2023 progress will not be comparable due to GCSE grade estimates in 2020 and 2021. 2023 attainment is strong and shown in the table below.

Our Year 13s have again secured excellent university and apprenticeship places. The majority of this cohort will begin their studies at Russell Group universities this September. Three students will be continuing their studies at Cambridge University and two will take up their places at medical school.
