The aim of the Careers Guidance and Advice at Chobham Academy is to ensure that the students who study here are exceptionally well prepared for the next stage of their education, training or employment (Ofsted 2016).
Students at Chobham Academy are able to work with a highly experienced Careers Advisor called Ann Evans. She is part of the Harris Federation Careers Advisor team and working across the Federation Academies. She offers bespoke and personalised careers guidance and advice. Students across the year groups have access to her advice, either through 1:1 interviews, group interviews, assemblies, tutor programme or through the lunch time drop in clinic.

Tutor Programme/Innovation Days
At various points in the Academic year, students from Year 7 to 13 have access to a bespoke year group career focused tutor programme. This includes a range of guidance from UCAS and Higher Education to GCSE options. The Innovation Day programme also provides an opportunity for students to develop their work skills in a range of settings
Chobham Academy has been selected to take part in a pilot project between Chobham Academy and Creative Skills Set, a link to the company can be found below:
A selection of Year 12 students will be working as mentors for Year 10 students. This opportunity will provide both year groups with an opportunity to develop their creative design skills, have a greater understanding of the careers available in the Creative Digital Industries, and work in partnership with Stratford Circus and also Stratford Theatre. Students who take part in the pilot will also have access to a ‘drop-in career advice clinic’ provided to them by Stratford Circus and Stratford Theatre. The pilot project will last 6 months with the aim of the pilot project will be to produce a website page that informs young people of the career choices in the creative industries.
